Issue 37 of Apartamento Magazine, Spring/Summer 2026, released on May 6th, features an extensive portrait of Paolo Deganello, a central figure of Italian Radical design and one of the most significant designers in the Poltronova catalogue. The piece, with an interview by Emanuele Quinz and photography by Piotr Niepsuj, unfolds within the designer’s Milan apartment and traces his trajectory through some of Archizoom Associati‘s most iconic works: from the Safari modular sofa to the Superonda — the celebrated foam wave sofa that became a symbol of a radically new approach to domestic objects, to the 1966 exhibition Superarchitettura, the manifesto event through which the Florentine collective announced a decisive break from conventional design.

It is in Deganello’s own apartment that the Superonda Spots now lives: the special edition produced by Poltronova to mark fifty years since the original piece first went into production. The very first example from this series has stayed there, in his living room, a full circle between design history and everyday life.
