Domestic space is no longer defined.
Poltronova returns to Salone del Mobile with UN—, an installation that takes shape from a condition that is unstable, open, and in constant transformation.
Following XS from the previous edition, where surface generated space, UN— operates through subtraction: not what is shown, but what remains incomplete, suspended, in progress.
Space no longer presents itself as a finished form, but as a process.
It is constructed as it unfolds.

UN— also marks the beginning of a new phase for Poltronova.
Alongside its historical icons, the brand introduces a new generation of projects, expanding its catalogue with objects that interpret the present through experimental, ironic, and radical languages.
The new productions by Bethan Laura Wood and Andrea Mancuso inaugurate a path that moves beyond re-edition, repositioning Poltronova as an active platform for contemporary design research.
Their projects represent the first chapters of a broader programme that will progressively introduce new objects by international designers in the coming months.
Not an act of continuity, but an opening: a system that returns to producing, experimenting, exposing itself.
In this context, instability is not only a design condition, but a dimension that runs through the present. Poltronova does not represent it, but adopts it as a field of work, maintaining the critical tension that has defined the trajectory of its designers since the beginning.

Under the creative direction of Donatello D’Angelo, the installation takes the form of an UN—finished environment, where materials, planes, and volumes are in constant mutation.
Surfaces bend, detach, reveal themselves.
Layers do not conceal, but expose.
They do not define, but open up possibilities.
There is no definitive form.
Only temporary states.
– – –
In this scenario, Poltronova products do not impose themselves as finished forms, but as open devices, capable of activating space and suggesting possibilities of use.
Historical icons and new productions coexist within a dimension where function and imagination intersect, shaping an environment that is unstable, non-prescriptive, and in continuous redefinition.

UN— is also…
UN—Finished
An environment that rejects definitive form and inhabits process.
UN—Designed
Objects that withdraw from total design control, leaving room for the unexpected.
UN—Domestic
A space that challenges the very idea of dwelling.
UN—Stable
Precarious balances, volumes that never settle into a final position.
UN—Certain
An ambiguous reality where nothing is fully legible.
UN—Conventional
A dimension that resists the conventions of living.
