The Cessato Allarme clothes stand, created in 1986 by the De Pas, D’Urbino, Lomazzi studio and produced by Poltronova since 1991, takes its inspiration directly from its name [“All Clear!”]: the alarm trumpets mounted on light poles during the last war.

Now also available in black, this iconic piece preserves its playful pop spirit—far from anything warlike. As Paolo Lomazzi suggested in 2020, it is a metaphorical invitation to «go and blow the trumpets again.»

«Sofo is a seat that you can put in a row like a train, or use to build mountains and thrones, mountains and pyramids firmly planed in the ground.
But at the end it is only a polyurethane block, a cube split in two parts by an “s” and then covered by material with two big stripes.
It is the result of a very simple operation, without any material or intellectual waste.
It appears like a big colored object, a little abstract maybe, like all the things with a bit of joy that look like things from another world».

Superonda, dynamic sofa by Archizoom Associati  · Designed in 1967 by the Florentine Radical group Archizoom, this was the first sofa without a conventional frame.

· It is composed of two waves made from a polyurethane block cut into two parts with an S—shaped incision, which can be interlocked and stacked to produce different configurations.   · The lightness and modular design permit a range of various uses: Superonda can be a sofa, a bed or a chaise longue.

Studio Casoli dedicates a special exhibition to Ettore Sottsass — architect, artist, and visionary able to transform everyday objects into powerful narratives of memory and meaning.

In the 1980s, Sottsass found a refuge on Filicudi, among volcanic stones, whitewashed walls, and a Mediterranean light that shaped his creative language.

Here, place, ritual, and memory come together — and so do his most iconic works.

On display:
▫️ Torno Subito (Superbox), the 1966 tower cabinet clad in plastic laminate for Poltronova
▫️ Crazy Horse table, designed in 1968 by Ettore Sottsass for Poltronova, which returned to production in 2025

As a historic partner of Sottsass and a pioneer of Italian design experimentation since 1957, Poltronova continues to champion a vision where furniture becomes a poetic architecture of living.

✨ Margherissima is open at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2025!

We’re thrilled to share our collaboration with @nigelcoates_projects and the Architectural Association @aaschool for this visionary exhibition, curated by Carlo Ratti @crassociati and focused on the urban revitalization of Marghera.

Poltronova contributed to the large-scale model on display at the Polveriera Austriaca, Forte Marghera, crafting a miniature park designed by Coates—leather-covered foam hills shaped with artisanal care and precision.

This marks a new chapter in our long-standing creative dialogue with Nigel Coates, whose iconic works for Poltronova include the Gallo series and the Plasma armchair, which remains a celebrated part of our catalog.
